Marginal Trends began in August 2009, with the goal of providing a unique and dynamic perspective to current events in economics and finance. We hoped to provide you with thoughts aimed at stimulating conversation about existing trends in these two subjects.
In November of that same year we listed eleven trends, in our Trends Forecast , that we thought would play out in 2010. Our focus this year is to provide support and evidence through articles written by us, or from other sources to show these ideas may be valid.

Jared MacLane, editor of Marginal Trends, has more than ten years experience in luxury retail marketing, sales and management. He is also a contributing writer to TheStreet.com and LearningMarkets.com. With a degree in Economics from San Francisco State University, MacLane combines his experience in luxury retail with a strong interest in finance, economic policy, and banking to provide a comprehensive and insightful account of current events.
